Handfeeding Finches |

| Sometimes it becomes necessary to hand
feed baby finches or weakened birds. Fortunately, you can obtain a
commercially available Hand Feed Formula.
Typically, I mix a small portion of water and the powdered hand feeding formula and feed the baby bird (or sick bird) with an eye dropper. Sometimes, they will reject my attempt. Often, I will place a drop on the side of the closed beak and the finch will eventually partake. |
