Genius Pyrenestes

This genus is referred to as "the seedcrackers". It consists of the following three species that are found on the continent of Africa.

Crimson Seedcracker Pyrenestes sanguineus 
Black-bellied Seedcracker Pyrenestes ostrinus 
Lesser Seedcracker Pyrenestes minor
