Lonchura nana
Common names: Madagascar Weaver, Madagascar Mannikin
Of the forty-one species which makeup the Munias and Mannikins group, the Madagascar Mannikin is the smallest. The English names "Munia" and "Mannikin" can be used interchangably. This bird is found only in and around Madagascar and is the only "finch" in that region. See, Clements, Finches & Sparrows, pg. 12.
